Overview

Pew is a free iPhone app for sermon notes. You can create notes, organize them by folder or series, record sermon audio, expand Bible references as BSB verse cards, and export PDFs.

Information you provide

Pew stores the content you create in the app, including sermon notes, folders, highlights, checklists, takeaways, and optional audio recordings.

Storage and sync

Pew stores app data on your device. If iCloud is enabled and available, your notes may sync through your Apple iCloud account using CloudKit. Apple handles iCloud account authentication and sync infrastructure.

Microphone

Pew requests microphone access only when you start recording sermon audio. Recordings are saved with the related note and are not uploaded by the app.

Bible reference expansion

When you expand a Bible reference, Pew requests BSB verse content from the BSB API. The request includes only the Bible reference needed to fetch that chapter or verse range — no notes or personal information are sent.

Sharing and export

When you copy, share, print, or export a PDF, iOS and the destination apps you choose may process the exported content according to their own policies.

Analytics and tracking

Pew does not include app tracking and links no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Apple may provide diagnostics or crash information according to the settings on your device and App Store Connect configuration.
